Green Bean & Shitake Mushroom Stir Fry - Dinner Review

Being in phase 1 right now, this is the month of the stir fry, and it was the turn of this simple vegetable one from Steamy Kitchen:

And here's what I made (apologies, mine really was steamy, even after 5 mins!):

The Verdict:

Taste/Texture:

This was a simple, relatively bland stir fry, where the focus was really on the veggies, all of which is super healthy really!

Substitutions:

I added in some beansprouts in lieu of noodles or rice, since this could not make a meal on its own.

Ease Of Preparation:

Nice and simple - as with all stir fries, prep before you start cooking!  The steaming of the beans was new to me as a technique, but it worked great!

Amount Made:

With 1 bag of beansprouts this was enough for 2 nights.  Without, it would make a good side for 2-4.

Final Verdict:

I think I'll pass on a repeat of this one, just a bit too bland and not terribly full of flavour, but I can see it would work as a side for a much fancier main dish.

It may be bland but it looks good. I don't think I'll make this because I really don't like Shitake mushrooms.
